Passions and Expertise
-
Working alongside people who are fighting for a better life is core to who I am. For over five years, I worked in fundraising, communications, and programs to make certain people have access to career opportunities that lift them and their families out of poverty.
-
My deep appreciation of the arts started with a 7" single of Sugarloaf's Green Eyed Lady and hasn’t stopped since. I studied and taught music for nearly a decade, held marketing roles at a classical ensemble and a top-tier music school for six years, served on the boards of a small theatre company and new music collective for another six, and served as a grant writer for one of Chicago’s leading theater companies.
-
I have two loves—helping people and helping animals. I spent nearly five years as a board member for One Tail at a Time supporting the organization's growth through communications and fundraising and the launch of their Adoption Center.
-
The only way we can truly drive change is to ensure that our social sector has the resources it needs to operate effectively and efficiently. I spent four years in the capacity-building space connecting organizations with the pro bono support they needed to thrive.
-
My previous career as an educator instilled in me a strong commitment to making sure our young people, no matter where they’re from, have access to the education they need to succeed in life.
